#STREETSTRUT FOR FITTED FOR WORK
I ran #streetstrut for Fitted For Work – Melbourne city’s outdoor fashion parade!
I volunteer for the amazing charity Fitted For Work (‘FFW’), helping disadvantaged women successfully get back into the workplace. One part of that is dressing the clients – I work from the Melbourne city boutique – to look and feel smart and confident for interviews and their new job, as well as casual weekend clothes. Clothes donations come think and fast, from anyone who is happy to give away their clothes that are in good condition.
As part of the FFW money-raising efforts, with many of the clothes donations, FFW hold a monthly ‘Conscious Closet’ clothes sale to the public. In order to whip up some excitement, media coverage and public interest in the sale, I ran an outdoor fashion parade called ‘Street Strut’.
I styled gorgeous models in outfits pulled together from the sale clothes, and they set off through the city causing a lot of interest with State Library as the beautiful backdrop.
If you have any clothes that you feel Fitted For Work could benefit from, please contact them directly on Tel. (03) 9662 4289 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org , or get in touch with me for more information.
